How to Get Rid of Split Ends

Cutting your hair short is an easy way to get rid of split ends. But this cannot be a well approved solution to remove split ends.

Cause of Split Ends

The hair fiber has an upper layer with protection. This layer, called the cuticle, begins breaking from the tip of the end.

The hair becomes divided into 2 or 3 fibers from the end and finally come out. Split ends damage the look of your hair and spoils the length. The growth of the hair is also inhibited and hair from below becomes thinner.

How to Get Rid of Split Ends

Protect your hair from being too dry. If shampooing does not add sufficient amounts of nutrients, oiling is required.

To prevent the dryness, use the oil from the lower tip to give it a better protection. This prohibits the tips to split.

Add B vitamins and vitamin E to your diet and minerals like zinc.

Regularly clean your hair using a nutrient-rich shampoo and also moisten it.

There should a constant external support. Simple trims from the lower ends will do.

Start trimming your hair when you find the initial splits ends.
