Women Change Their Hairstyles 104 Times During Their Life

A typical woman changes her hairstyle 104 times during her lifetime, according to a survey in Britain conducted by hairdresser Andrew Collinge.

Women undergo several hairstyle changes from layering, shortening or coloring at least twice a year between the ages of 13 and 65.

The main reasons for a change in hairstyle are “boredom’” with their current look or the end of a relationship. 17% do it to conceal gray hairs.

The survey also discovered that the average female tries out 3 different colors over the years, while 1 in 4 experiments with up to 5 shades. The favorite color is dark brown, with 56% of women preferring that, followed by dark honey blonde.

Almost three-quarters of women have regretted at least one of their hairstyles.

Andrew said the most popular style remains “Rachel” from “Friends”, made famous by Jennifer Aniston. Next most popular is the bob, worn by 66%, and long layers at 61%.

The study included 3,000 women.
