How to Stop Frizzy Hair

For most women, August is the worst month for their hair. High temperatures and humidity causes dry hair to absorbs the moisture in the air, which lead to the expansion of the hair shaft. This is called frizz

Here are six things you can do to stop frizzy hair.

- Do not shampoo to much. Shampooing removes the natural hair oils. Use a sulfate-free hydrating shampoo to wash your hair two times per week.

- Every time you wash your hair, use a rich hair conditioner. Apply it and leave it in for ten minutes. Conditioning your hair is important because it allows you to go longer between washes.

- After washing, never rub you hair with a bath towel. Use a microfiber towel and gently blot your hair.

- Be very careful when using flat irons, blow dryers or curling irons. They can cause styling damage.  This is one of the most important things to keep in mind in order to stop frizzy hair. Always apply a heat-protective product such as Fortifying Heat Spray by Pureology.

- Use a product that creates a protective coat for hair. A good option is Moroccan oil. It seals the cuticle, creating sleek, smooth, frizz-free hair.

- On hot summer months wear a hairstyle that will not change the texture of your hair. Having natural hair and following these tips is the best way to stop frizzy hair.
