Side Ponytails How-Tos
Side ponytails are very popular right now, according to the InStyle magazine. Celebrities like Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie, Beyoncé, Paris Hilton and Hayden Panettiere sweep their hair to the left or right side.
Gone are the side ponytails of the late ’70s and ’80s. Today’s side ponytails are an updated version of the classic side ponytail. They are softer, sleeker and more flattering than your standard ponytail. You will look elegant and sexier.
- To add volume, blow your hair using a round bristle brush.
- After that, brush with a nylon bristle brush.
- Next, apply some grooming creme. Make sure all hairs are incorporated into your pony.
- Pull hair to one side and secure just below the base of your neck with a hair band.
Another option is to create Beyoncé waves:
- Spritz styling spray on two-inch sections of hair.
- Hold a wide-barreled curling iron straight up.
- Wrap hair around it, changing directions.
- Do this with a few sections.
- Using your fingers, comb waves into a ponytail.
- Secure a few inches either to the left or the right side.
- Finish with a whisk of hairspray.
