Biotech developer, Divine Skin, is releasing the first topical hair growth treatment based on astressin-B. The treatment is going to be sold as Spectral.F7 under the DS Laboratories brand.
If you do not know what astressin-B is, here is a short reminder. It caused extensive media coverage worldwide after a clinical study was published in February. The study, conducted by the University of California Los Angeles and the Veterans Administration, found that this peptide can regrow hair on bald mice.
Astressin-B blocks a stress hormone that is attributed to hair loss and causes hair growth.
Now, Divine Skin synthesized the peptide for human use in Spectral.F7.
Althiugh Astressin-B is a very complex peptide that is difficult to synthesize, the company claims that the product will be reasonably priced.
Spectral.F7 can be combined with other treatments or used alone. Sales are expected to begin in October.
Two months ago, Divine Skin introduced a new molecule Nanoxidil that is allegedly better than minoxidil. It stimulates follicles at the vertex of the scalp.
