How to Make Hair Dry Faster

Often times we are in a rush and want our hair to dry faster. But what to do? Is there anything you can do about it? The Good Housekeeping Research Institute teaches you how to make hair dry faster and look beautiful with less time.

1. When your hair is 30% dry, it’s much faster to smoothing it out than when it’s completely wet. So  towel-dry your hair, apply a lotion, comb it and let it air dry for ten minutes.

2. For the lotion used in step 1, Good Housekeeping recommends Blow Ready Set Blow Express Blow Dry Lotion. It can save you about 3 minutes off drying time. Of course, you can use any other blow-dry lotion.

3. Use ceramic round-barreled brush. It  conducts heat very well and it is warmed up by the hot airflow of your dryer. This will definitely reduce blowdrying time.

4. Use a professional blow dryer with a powerful motor that creates more air. This is the best way to make hair drying faster. These dryers are usually expensive, about $200, but there are cheaper models with a pro motor.

5. Blow dry hair in sections and dry both the top side and the underside of each hair section for a blowout that will last for a few days. Or blow dry only the top of each section to smooth hair for just one day.
