Foods for Healthy Hair
Your hair needs proper nutrition. If your diet does not include hair-friendly foods, all the costly shampoos and hair treatments won’t help you at achieving healthy hair.
So, what to eat for healthy hair?
Diet for healthy hair should include foods that are whole, natural, organic and fresh.
1. Vegetables: dark leafy greens, beets, broccoli, carrots, and fresh green herbs such as cilantro, mint and basil.
2. Fruits: different types of berries, citrus fruits, melons and sweet grapes.
3. The coconut is excellent for nourishing the hair and scalp.
4. Dairy products: whole milk and fresh cheese.
5. Whole grains and smaller legumes.
6. Nuts: almonds and walnuts.
Well-known hairdresser Philip Kingsley recommends eating protein-packed breakfast each day. He says you should add these foods to your diet for healthy hair:
- Eat red meat (beef) twice a week.
- Eggs or egg whites. For those who can’t eat an animal protein.
- Brown short-grain rice.
- Low-fat cottage cheese.
- Bacon.
- Salmon.
Any recipes for keeping your hair healthy must include the following nutrients:
Vitamins A, B, D, C, E, iron, calcium, iodine, zinc, copper and sulfur.
