How Important is Hair to Women?

A lot – is the answer to the above question. A number of studies have found that hair is directly connected to emotional life of a woman.

As a matter of fact, one study has found that 72% of women admitted that their hair has a huge influence on their mood and identity.

Many ladies revealed that when their hair doesn’t look good then they don’t feel good about themselves.  A bad hair day can be a bad day. And when women have their hair done, they feel like a million dollars.

Another study have found that almost 90% of women are willing to give up many things, such as dessert, social networking and television for 14 days, just to have healthy, shiny hair.

When is it comes to a job interview, bright white teeth, glowing skin and perfectly manicured nails are not that important. 61% of women said that the most important aspect of their appearance is shiny, healthy hair.

When it comes to selecting a picture to post on social media sites, such as Facebook, women say having perfect hair is the biggest deciding factor.

How important is hair to women? Here is what U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said to  the graduating class at Yale College ten years ago:

“The most important thing I have to say today is that hair matters. Pay attention to your hair. Because everyone else will.”
