Quick Fix for Greasy Hair

Greasy hair looks dull and lifeless. The solution to oily hair is to wash it as often as necessary to keep it clean and in good condition.

But what you do if you need clean hair on the run with no time to wash it. Try these quick fixes for greasy hair.

- A really simple solution is to use the baby powder – rub it into the roots of dry hair, to soak up oils. You don’t have to shower to take out the baby powder, but be sure to shake the excess powder out. Corn starch should work the same way.

- Another fast fix is to use talcum powder containing witch hazel. Put a small amount in the hands and gently rub the powder into the roots of your hair. Allow it to soak up the oil for a couple of minutes. Then brush through thoroughly to remove.

- Yet another instant fix is to try blotting your scalp with an oil-blotting strip made for the face. A good choice is Quick Fix blotting film from Mac.

- Use dry shampoo such as Batiste.

- Use alcohol-based products to absorb oil and refresh your hair. For example, a regular anti-bacterial hand gel (non-creamy kind) or individually wrapped hand wipes.

- A spritz of perfume on the roots of your hair is also an effective quick fix for greasy hair.

- Pull your hair back into a pony tail or french braid. It is much less noticeable that way.

- Frederic Fekkai makes stuff to spray in your hair to refresh it and take out the greasy look.

- Buttercream Cosmetics makes Shampowder. It can be quickly brushed into the hair without the need for water and it absorbs the oils in the hair.

So, next time you wake-up late and don’t have time to shower, try some of these quick fixes for greasy hair.

normal talkcon powder works :P just did it then absorbed all the oil looks fluffy and fresh, but make sure to blow dry out the rest of the powder and add some shine spray as it does add dullness to your hair
