Shelf Life of Hair Care Products

There is an interesting story over at NewsChannel5.com titled - Shelf-Life Guidelines for Everything You Put In (or On) Your Hair.

The story outlines that even though hair care products can usually be kept unopened for about 3 years, this number decreases to approximately 18 months after it has been opened.

The shelf life of opened products is decreased by 50% for the reason that they come in contact with bacteria from your skin or become diluted from drops of water.

You should buy products in spray containers which last longer even after opening, the story said.
