British Women Spend $54,000 on Hair
The price of gorgeous hair is high!
A poll conducted by hair care company TRESemme revealed that the average British woman spends $54,047.16 on trims and other hair maintenance costs throughout her adult life.
This is the equivalent of putting a child through university.
Hairdressers take a large share of that sum, but shampoo, conditioner, hair-dryer, straightening irons, brushes and styling products all add to a lifetime cost.
The poll found that London and Cardiff were the cities with the highest amount of money spent on hair care – London $106,928.80 and Cardiff 94,833.70.
The poll also found that the average British man spends only $24,787.40 on hair care during his adult life.
In addition, the average woman will devote an hour and 53 minutes every week to the hair care, which means 4 days a year!
On the other hand, men will spend just 39 minutes a week in front of the mirror.
