Normal Daily Hair Loss

Yesterday we reported that gene for baldness was identified. However, it seems that lots of people do not know how much hair loss is normal.

So, what is normal hair loss in a day?

A healthy person loses about 100 strands of hair daily, with losses occurring evenly around the whole scalp.

This is nothing to worry about because the lost hair is replaced. Hairs grow back in the same follicle on your head.

However, the problem starts when hair loss goes beyond that number, and replacement pauses.

Those affected begin to suffer not only in terms of looks but also psychologically.

Keep in mind that people do have less hair when aging.
