Rock Hair Cuts

Here is how to make the haircut of Karen O, lead singer for the rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Her straight-across bangs gives her a harder edge, but this is more of the rocker look.

You will need mousse, hair dryer, flatiron, and heat-protecting hairspray.

The best hair for this look is hair with a lot of texture and layers. This type of hair is perfect to use with a flatiron that really brings out all of the layers.

To begin with, put mousse in your hair and completely blow dry it. Once youâ€™ve done this, section your hair off.

Next, flatiron (you can use a ceramic flatiron) your hair straight down. At the end, use a little wax to break up those layers.
