Best Travel Hair Dryers

Travel hair dryers are as good as full sized dryers.

Good Housekeeping Institute put them to the test.

Things they took into consideration include:

- Dry time
- Durability
- Weight, size
- Electrical safety

Using both laboratory and consumer evaluations, they found that some of the travel hair dryers were comparable to the full sized dryers and took up less space.

Two portable dryers stood out from the crowd: the Andis Ionic Ceramic Folding Hair Dryer and Remington All That Compact Dryer.

Andis has the fastest dry time, weighs a little over a pound and costs $32. On the other hand, Remington costs only $17 and is half the size of Andis.

Also make sure that your travel hair dryer has a full emersion protection plug as a safety precaution.
