What are the main ingredients of shampoo?
The basic ingredients used in hair shampoos are as follows:
- Detergents:
- Triethanolamine Lauryl Sulphate
- Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate
- Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
- Sodium Laureth Sulphate
- Conditioners:
- Amphoteric-2
- Hydrolysed Animal Protein
- Quaternium-15
- Thickeners:
- Glycol Stearate
- Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose
- Preservatives: Propylparaben
- Proteins, vitamins and pro-vitamins
-Botanical, herbal and egg extracts
- UV- Proctectants, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, fruit acids, designers, humectants and water
Although almost all brands of shampoo have these ingredients, they have no health benefit for the hair.
