5 Long Hair Care Tips
How to Care for Long Hair
Long hair needs additional care to maintain and protect it. Here are some tips.
- The biggest problem with longer hair is the ends. Besides regular trims, use a leave-in conditioner on the tips and a hair-repair mask once a week.
- Do not brush long hair when it is wet because it can easily break. Use a wide-tooth comb, starting at the bottom and working your way up toward the roots.
- To create the illusion of fullness, try layers. Avoid cutting the front layers too short, or you won’t be able to pull your hair back in a ponytail.
- If you want your long hair to be shiny, apply a conditioning mist just before blow-drying and/or flat-ironing
- Bangs are good for emphasizing your face. They can be side swept or short and pronounced.
