Fall/Winter 2008 Hair Trends
What are hair trends for 2008 fall and winter?
- The loose waves are making a comeback. They are more of a natural wave.
- Drape will be popular look of the season. The drape is a loose bun with sections of hair pulled around your face and pinned over your ears.
- Crimped hair is making a big comeback. It is all about the grown-up crimp; the bigger and bolder- the better.
- Playful up-dos such as quiffs, messy hair buns, knots and curls. Just tone it down a little bit for the daytime.
- Done Woman is the look polished to perfection. Volume and long hair are the keys to this hair trend.
- Forget the pin-straight hair. Hairstyles for fall are growing towards the natural look. That means soft and smooth curls, loose waves and flowing, smooth, long layers. Let your hair be fuller and freer.
- Deep, rich colors - whether warm or cool - are the way to go this fall and winter. No more faded summer hair. Multi-tone hair is still popular. You should avoid stripy, choppy color. A popular trend is to use a semi-permanent clear gloss.
- Hot colors this season include deep coffees, burnt coppers, toasted hazelnut browns, soft buttery caramel blondes, deep blackened amethyst purple, cool Nordic, port wine reds, and soft silver blondes.
- When it comes to hair length, a hot trend will be longer hair moving up to above the shoulders.
- Movement, texture, structure and volume are hair trends we’ll be seeing this season.
