- Your hair should be at least one-day dirty.
- Take a section of your hair, from your forehead to your crown. This is the section that you will back-comb into the raised pompadour.
- The rest of the hair should be pulled back in an elastic.
- Start at the hairline. Take one-inch section and back-comb it using a fine-toothed comb.
- Put each finished section forward toward your face as you work your way back.
- Next, you need to create a look of swooped-back bangs by smoothing back with a bristle brush.
- Use a pin to put in place. Angle the bobby pins first toward the scalp, then at an angle toward the hairline.
- The rest of the hair can be pulled into a mid or low ponytail or parted down the middle and French braid in two sections.
- At the end, use a medium-hold finishing spray.
