During winter days, when the weather is cold and dry, static electricity often appears in hair.
It can really get bad some time. So, how do you keep static electricity out of your hair? Here are solutions:
- First of all, your hair should be properly moisturized. Hair with enough moisture is less likely to be affected by static. So, deep-condition your hair on a regular basis.
- Next, you need something to weigh the hair down. After you wash your hair, apply conditioning hair gel or use a ‘leave-in’ conditioner.
- Do not use hair care products with ingredients (such as alcohol) that will dry out your hair.
- Get an antistatic spray. Use it on your hairbrush or comb before you run it through your hair.
- Carry a fabric softener sheet in your purse. Use it during the day if necessary. Just run it over your hair when you notice static electricity.
- The last solution is to cut your hair real short. There will be no hair to get charged up
