How to Cut Your Bangs at Home

In these difficult economic times, many women and men are trying to save some money by cutting their hair at home.

Badly-shaped bangs are not a good look. The best advice we can give you is to leave it to the experts. Bangs are often trimmed for free or very cheaply at most salons.

But if you want to do it yourself, follow these tips:

- Cut your bangs only when dry. Why? Because wet hair shrinks as it dries.

- Separate the front section of hair you want to trim. Pull it to the center of your face. Keep excess hair out-of-the-way with a clip.

- Twist the front section several times.

- Hold scissors at an angle and trim.

- To reach the desired length and prevent over-trimming, you should always cut only a small amount off at a time.
