Laser Treatment for Thinning Hair
A new, FDA-approved, comb claims it can grow back your hair.
The manufacturer of the Hairmax Lasercomb declares that their product will make your hair grow.
According to the maker, the low level lasers in the comb work at the energy level of skin cells to stimulate the scalp and hair follicles to promote growth.
It’s been used in Europe and now the FDA approved it for use in the U.S.
However, all the manufacturer had to prove was that the device did not cause any harm.
The only information backing up the claims comes from the company (Lexington International, LLC) making the lasercomb.
Experts warn that it is not a magical cure and that for some men it will help maintain or re-grow some hair.
Experts also say that the device is not as effective as Rogaine or Propecia.
The cost of the comb is about $550 and is available on the internet.
