In the last six weeks, we have conducted an online survey with the main question being “how the global economic crisis is affecting hair care”.
1061 people (91.3% women and 8.6% men) participated in the survey.
It was found that 66,1% of respondents cut their spending on hair care products and services due to hard economic times.
The survey revealed that of the 1061 respondents:
- 40.6% cut their spending between $0 and $50
- 16.9% cut their spending between $51 and $100
- 6.7% cut their spending between $101 and $500
- 1.69% cut their spending over $500
The survey also showed that of the 1061 respondents:
- 55.9% changed their hair care routine as a result of economic crisis.
- 61.4% reduced their visits to hair salons because of weak economy.
- 59.3% is buying less expensive brands due to difficult economic times.
When it comes to monthly spending, the survey found:
- 69.4% is spending between 0 and $50
- 25.4% is spending between $51 – $100
- 5.08% spends between $101 and $500
