Choosing the Right Hair Color

How to Choose the Right Hair Color

In order to find hair color that is best for you, you must know several things.

To choose the right color you must examine your eye color, your natural hair color, and the skin tones.

Do you have warm or cool colors?

The “warm” tones are: black, dark brown, brown, red, or auburn shades.
The “cool” hair colors are: white, the blond, gray, or salt and pepper hair.

For eyes, the “cool” tones are the blues, gray, and deep browns.
The “warm” tones are golden brown, green, and some hazel.

For your skin, the “cool” tones are dark brown, olive, or pale.
The “warm” tones are golden brown, freckled, ruddy or pale with peachy or gold undertones.

When you know this, choosing the right hair color is not difficult.

If you have “cool” coloring, you will do well with black, ash brown, or cool blond shades. If you have warm skin tones try the rich browns, the golden blonds, or the auburn tones.
