Tips on How to Choose Perfect Wedding Day Hairstyle



Wedding day is one of the most important days for many women. And every bride wants to look her best on that day.

Even a very attractive woman wants to look better on her wedding day. Or maybe she wants something different from how she looks every day.

Here are tips to help you on what hairstyle you will be having on your wedding day.

- Have enough time to prepare your hair - about six weeks before the wedding to make necessary changes. If you plan to completely change your hairstyle, color or length, you may need up to six months.

- Several weeks before your wedding day select a hairdresser that will make your hairdo.

- Establish a good rapport with the hairdresser. You should be comfortable in discussing with him or her on the style you want. Be firm in telling him or her what you want and don’t want. Bring pictures of the dress, headpiece and the hairstyles that you would like to try.

- If you are thinking of having your hair permed or relaxed, ask the hairstylist if he or she thinks this will not damage your hair. Damaged hair will not look good and will be difficult to style.

- Schedule a practice session to mock-up the intended hairdo for your wedding day. During, the mock-up, carry the hairstyle and check side and rear views. Walk around the salon. Do head movements that you think will happen on wedding day. Make sure your hairstyle withstands all the head activity.

Try the following hairstyles:

- Updo is what most brides want. It signifies elegance.

- If you do not want the bun, you can achieve the same polished look with braids – choose anything from cornrows to French twists.

- Let your hair down. Flip the edges out for a little retro look.

- Short hair can be spruced up with color highlights to enhance the richness or shiny curls. Flowers also look good on short hair.

- If you have a long hair, wear your hair up for an elegant look and to minimize the need for maintaining it.

Keep in mind that your hairstyle should go well with the cut of your gown. If you have a simple gown, choose an uncomplicated hairstyle.
