The 16th annual Sally Beauty Best Tressed Survey takes a look back at 2009’s best and worst celebrity hairstyles.

The survey, commissioned by Sally Beauty Supply, asked 1,000 American women to cast a vote on the good, the bad and the ugly in celebrity hairstyles from the past year.

Female celebrity with the best hairstyle in 2009:

1. Jennifer Aniston
2. Taylor Swift
3. Rihanna

Female celebrity with the worst hairstyle in 2009:

1. Lady Gaga
2. Kate Gosselin
3. Lindsay Lohan

Male celebrity with the best hairstyle in 2009:

1. George Clooney
2. Mario Lopez
3. Zac Efron

Male celebrity with the worst hairstyle in 2009:

1. Lil’ Wayne
2. Jon Gosselin
3. Brad Pitt
