5 Myths About Hair Loss Exposed

There are so many myths about hair loss that it is hard to keep track of them all. Here are 5 most common myths about baldness.

1. Stress is causing hair thinning. Not true. Being under stress can only temporarily cause hair loss or accelerate it. But stress have no permanent effect on your hair.

2. Not washing hair regularly. This is another myth. A dirty scalp has nothing to do with hair loss. If this was the truth, then all street persons would be bald.

3. Wearing a hat frequently. There is no evidence that this can cause baldness. Many studies have found that people who wear headgear all day do not have greater incidence of hair loss.

4. Poor blood supply to the scalp. Not true. Blood circulation is not associated with hair loss. If it did, hair transplants wouldn’t be permanent.

5. Poor diet is the culprit. Just another myth. If it did, it would cause far more serious symptoms than hair loss. Just look at the people in third world countries – they are not all bald.
