American board certified hair colorist, Jason Tichenor, of Paragon salon in Atlanta, Ga. helps you with sprucing up your look this season. According to him, these are the spring 2010 hair color trends:
Dramatic reds, deep brunettes with plum and cinnamon accents as well as a play on pastels against black will all take center stage while platinum blonde will take a back seat.
Blondes in general are being redefined. Strawberry and copper shades will be big in the warm realm, but something new and unexpected has become fashionable for the cool blondes. Varying shades of stone, ash and even silver are some of 2010’s bolder statements and are very prevalent on the runways all over the world already.
Lilac, pale pink and light blue could also be used to accent the daring whether paring them with an icy blonde or midnight black base.
Interpretation of these bold trends can be translated in more conservative ways for everyday wear, of course. Choosing a more natural blend of copper and Irish gold would be the perfect choice for the professional who wants to be on trend but doesn’t work in say the entertainment industry. Simply overlaying highlights with a glaze of shiny silver is another way to stay in style without sporting an art piece on your head.
